Highs And Lows Once More For Team Garlick

With a longstanding and unknown fuel system gremlin diagnosed and eliminated before the event, Tim Garlick and the Rehm Welding Technologies team were hoping for big things from the Cortina at the Summer Nats. Drag racing being what it is however, things didn't turn out as planned. Tim takes up the story.........

"We started the weekend with high hopes, after finding an intermittent fault (and sometimes progressive tuning device! ) with the 4 port regulator our woes where behind us..........he lied!!"

"Although the weather was not helping we seemed to be going backwards on the Saturday and our first run against Craig on Sunday showed no signs of improvement."

We then did what every experienced, patient and sensible tuner should do....................................fit the biggest jets you can find and wait for the fireworks! I will let the photos speak for themselves!"

"Well done to Craig for getting back in the 7's, top marks also to Mr Mander for his 8.30 and well done to both the Robs for a breathtaking final, SUMO ruled at the Summer Nats!"
