History:
Originally built by Hakan Averstedt for wife Viveca
and ran in Pro Stock for a short period at the tail
end of the 80's. After transforming from hatchback to
saloon, the car was campaigned in Pro Modified by Alan
Packman. Utilising the unusual Ford 'Shotgun' powerplant
it was in this guise that the Scorpio racked up numerous
records and championships, eventually running into the
6.8 second range. Andy purchased the car as a rolling
chassis when Alan hung up his gloves and started to
compete in the Super Modified class after a stint in
Super Pro ET.
